Azerbaijan to Repatriate Body of Ship Captain Killed in Attack off Odesa Coast

The body of Samad Nasrullayev, the Azerbaijani captain of the civilian merchant vessel Atlas Bey, who was killed in a drone strike off the coast of Odesa, Ukraine, has been recovered and transported to Odesa.

According to Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry, the body will be returned to Azerbaijan after all required procedures have been completed, The Caspian Post reports.

"We express our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased ship captain. May he rest in peace," the ministry said in a statement.
