The opening ceremony of the “Power of Unity - 2026” joint military exercise involving servicemen from Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan was held on Tuesday.

The official ceremony took place at the Gizilgaya Training Center in the Khojavand region and began with the national anthems of the three participating countries, The Caspian Post reports, citing Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry.

Speakers at the event highlighted the importance of the exercise in strengthening cooperation between the armed forces, improving the practical capabilities of military units and promoting the exchange of experience. They also noted that the drills would help reinforce friendly ties among the participating personnel and improve coordination in carrying out joint missions.

The speakers wished the servicemen success during the exercise.

The ceremony continued with a military parade in which personnel participating in the drills marched past the grandstand.

The event concluded with a concert performed by the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Hazi Aslanov Army Ideological and Cultural Center.
