Azerbaijan and Uganda have conducted inter-ministerial political consultations in Baku.
The talks were co-chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev representing Azerbaijan and State Minister for Foreign Affairs John Mulimba representing Uganda, The Caspian Post reports via the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
Azerbaijan and Uganda maintain friendly diplomatic relations focused on political, economic, and cultural cooperation. Diplomatic contacts between the two countries have been growing steadily since the establishment of formal relations. Both nations have engaged in high-level visits, inter-ministerial consultations, and collaboration in areas such as trade, agriculture, education, and infrastructure development. Azerbaijan has supported initiatives in Uganda related to social services and knowledge exchange, while Uganda has expressed interest in deepening partnerships in trade, tourism, and regional security.
