Mikayil Jabbarov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, met with Anas Sarwar, UK Minister of State for Trade at the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade and a Member of the House of Lords.

The sides exchanged views on the current state and future prospects of Azerbaijan-UK economic cooperation, the expansion of trade and investment relations, strengthening partnerships between the business communities of the two countries, and identifying new economic opportunities, The Caspian Post reports, citing the Ministry of Economy.

The meeting also covered cooperation in the digital economy and innovation, as well as the role of the Azerbaijan-UK Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation in further developing bilateral economic and trade ties.
