Azerbaijan has welcomed delegates from across the Islamic world as the annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group officially opened in Baku.

President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of the 2026 IsDB Group Annual Meetings, underscoring Azerbaijan’s growing role as a hub for international cooperation and economic dialogue, The Caspian Post reports via Azertac.

The event began with a joint photo session involving senior officials, international delegates, and representatives of member countries.

The annual meetings bring together government leaders, financial institutions, development experts, and business representatives to discuss key issues related to sustainable growth, investment, economic development, and regional cooperation across IsDB member states.
