Four people sought medical assistance after drone attacks launched from Iranian territory targeted Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on March 5.
Sahib Abuzerov, head of the Emergency Department of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Hospital, confirmed that two of the injured were diagnosed with barotrauma, while the other two suffered blunt shoulder injuries, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
Victims in Stable Condition
All four patients received initial medical treatment and are currently in stable condition. They have been admitted to specialized hospital departments for further care and monitoring.
Airport and School Area Targeted
The drone strikes occurred around midday. One drone hit the terminal building of Nakhchivan International Airport, causing structural damage. Another drone fell near a school in the village of Shakarabad.
Authorities are continuing to assess the damage and investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack, as regional tensions remain high.
