From January to September 2025, Georgia imported $959,000 worth of ceramic products from Azerbaijan.
This figure marks a record high for at least the past 17 years for the same period and represents an 88 per cent increase compared to the first nine months of 2024, The Caspian Post reports via the Georgian National Statistics Office.
During the same period, Georgia imported $96 million worth of ceramics from abroad, up 8 per cent year-on-year.
Besides Azerbaijan, major suppliers included Iran ($22.7 million), China ($20 million), Spain ($17 million), Türkiye ($15 million), and Italy ($6.6 million).
In 2024, Georgia’s total ceramic imports reached $120 million, of which $789,000 came from Azerbaijan, highlighting the significant growth in trade between the two neighbors.
