Head of Georgia’s State Security Service Mamuka Mdinaradze has met with Ali Naghiyev, Chief of Azerbaijan’s State Security Service, during his official visit to Tbilisi to discuss key aspects of the Georgia-Azerbaijan strategic partnership and explore new initiatives to strengthen bilateral security cooperation.
“The discussion focused on enhancing collaboration between the two agencies, particularly in the exchange of information and expertise. It was noted that close cooperation between the security services of the two countries contributes to the strengthening of Georgia-Azerbaijan relations and makes a significant contribution to peace and stability in the region. The sides also exchanged views on current regional developments and emerging challenges,” the Georgian State Security Service said, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
Following the meeting, Mdinaradze and Naghiyev laid wreaths at the monument to Azerbaijan’s national leader Heydar Aliyev and at the Memorial of Heroes honoring those who died defending Georgia’s territorial integrity.
