A Centrium Air Airbus A321 en route from Türkiye’s Istanbul to Uzbekistan’s Samarkand has made an emergency landing at Azerbaijan’s Heydar Aliyev International Airport after the sudden deterioration of a passenger’s health.
The aircraft landed safely at 08:29 (GMT+4), with all relevant airport services immediately placed on high alert, The Caspian Post reports via the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
Medical personnel provided first aid on site, and following a health assessment, the passenger was transferred to a specialized clinic in Baku for further treatment.
Heydar Aliyev International Airport stressed that passenger health and safety are the highest priorities, and all airport services act promptly and in full coordination to manage such emergencies efficiently.
