A new international air connection between Uzbekistan and Russia’s Far East has officially taken off, as Centrum Air inaugurates direct flights between Samarkand and Khabarovsk.
The service, launched as part of efforts to expand regional connectivity, will operate once a week on Thursdays, according to the airline’s approved schedule, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.
Flights depart Samarkand International Airport at 11:15 p.m. (GMT+5) and arrive in Khabarovsk at 11:15 a.m. the following day, taking into account the time difference between the two destinations.
The new route is seen as a significant step toward strengthening transport infrastructure and fostering closer ties between Uzbekistan and the Khabarovsk Territory. Officials say the connection will enhance business and tourism opportunities, while also opening new avenues for logistics and economic cooperation.
