Mine Blast Injures Demining Worker in Azerbaijan’s Khojaly

A demining worker was injured in a mine explosion in Dashkend village in Azerbaijan’s Khojaly district on September 10.

Anar Hasanov, 36, suffered a leg injury after an anti-personnel mine exploded while he was carrying out his duties, according to the Mine Action Agency of the Azerbaijan Republic (ANAMA).

The injured worker was evacuated to a district hospital, where his condition was assessed as satisfactory.

Hasanov was taken to the Khankendi City Hospital. An investigation into the incident is underway.
