Pakistan’s Ambassador Congratulates Azerbaijani Official on Historic Peace Agreement with Armenia

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Qasim Mohiuddin has met with Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev and congratulated him on the initialing of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington.

“Met Mr. Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President & Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of Presidential Administration. Congratulated him on the peace agreement signed in Washington DC between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and positive developments in regional connectivity,” The Caspian Post reports, citing the ambassador’s message on X.

The agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia aims to establish a durable framework for peace, focusing on ceasefire enforcement, border delimitation, the return of displaced people, and the resumption of economic and transport links. It also envisions broader regional cooperation, with the support of international partners, to foster stability, trade, and investment in the South Caucasus.
