President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Ersin Tatar has reaffirmed his country’s readiness to broaden and deepen ties with Azerbaijan across various sectors.
The statement was made during a meeting with Vugar Isgandarov, a member of Azerbaijan’s National Assembly, who was on a visit to Lefkoşa, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
The meeting was also attended by Orhan Hasanoğlu, President of the Azerbaijan-Cyprus Friendship Society, and Nadir Ismayilov, a representative of Azerbaijan’s Press Council.
During the talks, both sides exchanged views on enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of tourism and education. President Tatar noted that relations between the TRNC, Azerbaijan, and Türkiye continue growing within the “One Nation, Three States” concept.
“I sincerely thank President Ilham Aliyev for the attention and support shown to Northern Cyprus,” said Tatar, underlining the symbolic and practical significance of Azerbaijan’s engagement with the TRNC.
