Azerbaijan is set to welcome Syrian students for higher education for the first time, marking a new chapter in educational cooperation between the two countries.
The announcement was made by Syrian MP Tarık Sulo Cevizci, representing Aleppo, during the 2nd Forum “Turkman Heritage: Solidarity of Civil Societies” held in Baku, The Caspian Post reports via Report.
Cevizci said that the initiative will be implemented through the Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant Program, which aims to support international students pursuing higher education in Azerbaijan.
He also revealed that Syrian students have been invited for the first time to participate in summer camps organized by Azerbaijan, further expanding educational and cultural exchanges between the two nations.
“These developments demonstrate that political, economic, cultural, military, and trade relations between Syria and Azerbaijan are growing stronger every day,” Cevizci said.
