The United States has expressed full solidarity with Azerbaijan after Iran’s drone attacks on Nakhchivan.
“The United States condemns the March 5 Iranian drone strikes on Nakhchivan and stands in full solidarity with the people of Azerbaijan,” the U.S. Embassy in Baku said on X, The Caspian Post reports.
The U.S. embassy said it is closely assessing the situation as it evolves and wishes a speedy recovery to those who were injured in the attack.

The strikes targeted Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, with one drone hitting the terminal building of Nakhchivan Airport and another falling near a school in the village of Shakarabad. The airport building sustained damage, and four people were reported injured.
