The leaders of Central Asia and Azerbaijan have signed the Cholpon-Ata Declaration following an informal Consultative Meeting in Kyrgyzstan’s resort city of Cholpon-Ata.

The declaration was adopted at the conclusion of the high-level meeting, which brought together the presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, Kazinform reports.

The leaders discussed key areas of regional cooperation, including trade and economic relations, transport and logistics, and the further development of strategic partnerships between Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan.

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who arrived in Cholpon-Ata on July 31 to participate in the meeting, highlighted the region’s growing momentum.

Tokayev said Central Asia is experiencing the most successful period in its modern history, emphasizing Kazakhstan’s commitment to strengthening strategic cooperation and partnership across the region.
