A new world record is set to be established in the Mangistau region in celebration of Nauryz.
On March 22, 2025, an event will be held in Aktau, Kazakhstan, aimed at setting a world record for the largest gathering of people wearing traditional Kazakh costumes, The Caspian Post reports citing Kazinform.

To participate, individuals must register and pay a fee of 362 tenge. Participants are required to arrive in traditional Kazakh clothing, in line with a catalog provided by the organizers. Some of the most common elements of traditional clothing include:
· Saukele - a women's headdress symbolizing nobility and solemnity, adorned with silver, gemstones, and feathers.
· Shapan - a long robe embroidered with patterns, worn by both men and women.
· Kamzol - a sleeveless vest worn by women over a dress, decorated with embroidery.
· Bö rik - a fur hat with a round top, worn by both men and women.
The goal of the event is not only to set a world record but also to showcase Kazakhstan's cultural richness, strengthening national identity and promoting the country's traditions.
