On October 13, the opening ceremony of the Turkmenistan Culture Days was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, organized by the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan.
Addressing the event, Murad Huseynov, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Culture, praised the holding of the Turkmenistan Culture Days in Azerbaijan, adding that the two countries’ peoples are bound together through shared historical and cultural roots, as well as unbreakable friendship, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.
Other speakers included Nursahet Shirimov, Turkmenistan’s Deputy Minister of Culture, and Isa Habibayli, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
The guests viewed the photo and painting exhibitions reflecting the rich cultural legacy of the Turkmen people. The samples of music of Turkmenistan, national costumes, works of decorative and applied art and museum exhibits were demonstrated as well.
The event proceeded with the concert program.
The Days of Culture of Turkmenistan will run until October 15.
