European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Vice President for Policy and Partnerships Mark Bowman will travel to Tajikistan from 25 to 28 May 2026, where he is expected to meet senior government officials and clients and take part in a high-level international conference linked to the UN’s 2018-28 Water Action Decade.

As part of his four-day programme, Vice President Bowman will have meetings with Tajikistan’s senior leadership, including the Prime Minister, Ministers of Finance, Industry and New Technologies, Energy and Water Resources and the Chairman of the National Bank, The Caspian Post reports, citing EBRD.

During his visit, Mark Bowman will also hold meetings with regional authorities and visit projects supported by the EBRD in Khujand.

To date, the EBRD has invested more than €1 billion in Tajikistan through 192 projects.
