Etihad Airways
Uzbekistan’s Civil Aviation Agency has officially granted Etihad Airways permission to operate scheduled flights between Abu Dhabi and Tashkent, according to a statement from the agency’s press service.
The airline plans to operate six weekly flights on the route, utilizing Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.
The new service is scheduled to begin on March 17, 2026, enhancing connectivity between the UAE and Uzbekistan.
Earlier, in July 2025, Etihad announced plans to expand its route network in Eurasia, including seven destinations: Almaty, Tbilisi, Yerevan, Baku, Bucharest, Medina, and Tashkent.
It should be recalled that in autumn 2022, Etihad’s subsidiary - Air Arabia Abu Dhabi - launched regular flights between Abu Dhabi and Tashkent, operating two flights per week. The low-cost carrier Air Arabia had received authorization to fly to Uzbekistan back in 2020.
