Kyrgyz Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibraev and General Director of the Central Asian Investment Holding OJSC Oren Akhmet Müjahid held talks on the project to build a 250 MW gas station of Bishkek Thermal Power Plant (TPP)-2.
According to the ministry, the project implementation period is 2-4 years, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.
The project budget is 443 million US dollars.
Currently, the Central Asian Investment Holding OJSC said that it will invest about 3 billion soms in the construction of the gas station.
The construction of TPP-2 in Bishkek is a strategic infrastructure project aimed at increasing the country's energy capacity. This will provide the population and enterprises with stable electricity and heat supply, increase the reliability of the energy system, and improve the environmental situation.
Earlier, on September 20, 2024, an Investment Agreement was signed between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Central Asian Investment Holding OJSC.
Ibraev proposed to the company's general director Oren Akhmet Müjahid to complete the feasibility study of the Bishkek CHPP-2 within 3 months and quickly implement the project.
The general director of the Central Asian Investment Holding OJSC said that he would accept the minister's proposal and speed up the work.
