Russia has continued to be one of Turkmenistan’s leading trade partners, Russian Ambassador to Ashgabat Ivan Volynkin said during a briefing.
According to the ambassador, trade turnover between the two countries increased by 35% over the first ten months of 2025, a figure that already exceeds the total trade volume recorded for the whole of 2024, The Caspian Post reports, citing Russian media.
Volynkin highlighted that this growth underscores the strengthening economic ties between Moscow and Ashgabat.
A press bulletin issued following the briefing also noted that 38 companies with Russian capital participation are currently registered and operating in Turkmenistan.
