During the suspension, Armenia will rely on its internal reserves and additional natural gas imports from Iran to meet demand, ensuring there are no disruptions to consumer supply.

Gazprom Armenia has announced a temporary suspension of natural gas transportation from Russia to Armenia, citing ongoing maintenance work on the North Caucasus–Transcaucasia transit pipeline in Georgia.
The emergency repairs will take place from 10:00 (GMT+4) on November 13 to 22:00 on November 14 on the Kazakh-Saguramo section (DN 1000) of the pipeline. As a result, gas supply to Armenia will be halted for the duration of the work, The Caspian Post reports, citing Russian media.
During the suspension, Armenia will rely on its internal reserves and additional natural gas imports from Iran to meet demand, ensuring there are no disruptions to consumer supply.
Gazprom is the sole supplier of natural gas to Armenia, with its gas transport network operated by Gazprom Armenia, a 100% subsidiary of the Russian company. Since 2009, Armenia has also been receiving Iranian gas, which is converted into electricity and exported back to Iran under a long-term agreement. This "Gas for Electricity" program, which runs until 2030, allows Armenia to produce more electricity from Iranian gas than it imports, with the surplus remaining within the country.
