China’s Vice President Han Zheng is set to visit Georgia on November 6-8 for an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.

During the visit, Han Zheng is scheduled to meet with Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili and Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. The Georgian prime minister will also host a dinner in honor of the Chinese delegation, according to Sputnik Georgia.

Beijing and Tbilisi have established a comprehensive strategic partnership, with bilateral relations developing actively in recent years under a roadmap agreed upon by the two countries’ leaders.

“China stands ready to work with the Georgian side to implement the important common understandings reached by the leaders of the two countries, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and promote the sustained development of bilateral relations for the benefit of both peoples,” the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.

Following his visit to Georgia, Han Zheng will travel to Türkiye to attend the World Leaders’ Summit in Antalya, held as part of the 31st Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP31).
