A plant for the production of nanotechnology-based fire suppression systems will open in Georgia, Sputnik Georgia posted on Telegram channel.
The plant is owned by the company Nano Fire Protection Technology (NFPT) from the UAE, The Caspian Post reports.
The products manufactured in Georgia will be intended for both export and the domestic market.
Georgy Chanturia, founder of the NFPT subsidiary in Georgia, told the media platform BMG that among the products to be produced are:
Stickers to prevent fires inside outlets, switches, and distribution boxes;
Special cables that protect distribution boards and premises from fire;
Paint that protects various surfaces from fire;
A fire extinguisher filled with microcapsules, weighing about 600 grams, which can extinguish a fire in seconds when thrown into it.
He noted that there are only two such plants in the world: the main one in Dubai and another one in Prague, which began operations about four months ago. Production at the Georgian plant is set to start in January 2026. Contracts for supplying the products to Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Türkiye have already been signed.
