Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili on Friday met with Turkish Ambassador to Tbilisi Ali Kaan Orbai to discuss the strategic partnership and close bilateral cooperation between their countries.
According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, the parties highlighted the growing dynamics of high-level and sectoral visits, as well as key matters on the bilateral and multilateral agenda within their strategic cooperation, The Caspian Post reports.
The officials emphasized developments in the South Caucasus region, stressing the role of both nations in promoting peace and stability.
Discussions also covered prospects for deepening trade and economic ties, regional cooperation, and the implementation of joint projects. They stressed the importance of fully utilizing the transit and transport potential of both countries.
The ambassador reiterated Türkiye’s support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, with both sides agreeing on the need for active cooperation to further develop Georgian-Turkish relations.
