The ruling Georgian Dream party has declared a sweeping victory in the first round of municipal elections, claiming wins in all municipalities across the country.
“We won the elections in all municipalities in the first round. We started in four, and finished in four,” the party said, The Caspian Post informs via Russian media.
Party officials welcomed the outcome as a strong endorsement of Georgian Dream’s leadership, framing the results as a reflection of public confidence in the party’s governance and its vision for continued stability and development.
The nationwide municipal elections were held on October 4, with voters selecting mayors and members of local self-government bodies. According to the Central Election Commission, the voting process was conducted peacefully and saw high voter turnout across all regions.
