Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has accused what he described as foreign agents of deliberately exaggerating the incident involving an attack on a Russian woman in Georgia.

Speaking to Channel One Georgia, Kobakhidze claimed that external actors were attempting to fuel hostility within the country by amplifying the case, The Caspian Post reports.

"There is a very simple order in effect here to artificially foist hatred on us in Georgia from outside, and specific agents are carrying out this task. We will do everything we can to counter this task and all those who carry out such orders," Kobakhidze said.
