According to the Georgian government administration's press service, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze held a meeting with Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister of Iraq's Kurdistan Regional Government.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for trade and economic cooperation, The Caspian Post reports, citing Georgian media.
The existing potential in this area and opportunities to strengthen ties in the investment sphere were highlighted.
The discussion also focused on Georgia’s favorable geographic location, the potential of the Middle Corridor and the country’s role as an important regional and logistics hub. Particular emphasis was placed on the special importance of peace and stability.
