Two citizens of Azerbaijan have been arrested in Batumi, Georgia, after police discovered a large quantity of narcotics and psychotropic substances.
The suspects, identified as men, 31 and 32, were charged with illegal acquisition and possession of narcotic substances, The Caspian Post reports via the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During a search of their temporary residence in Batumi, officers reportedly found a major stash of drugs along with materials believed to be used for packaging and distributing narcotics.
An investigation is ongoing as Georgian authorities continue to examine the case.
