Travel between Georgia's Batumi city and Uzbekistan's Tashkent city is set to become easier with a new seasonal air route connecting the two cities.

UzAirways announced it will begin operating direct flights starting May 27, with departures scheduled twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Ticket prices for the new route start from 2,039,000 Uzbek soums ($169.94).
