Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed the development of the Middle Corridor during their meeting in Istanbul.
According to Georgia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the 10th trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Georgia, Türkiye, and Azerbaijan, The Caspian Post reports, citing Report.
The parties discussed prospects for the development of the Georgian-Turkish strategic partnership and positively assessed sectoral cooperation between the two countries.
Particular attention was also paid to bilateral cooperation in the development of the Middle Corridor and the importance of successfully implementing related strategic projects.
The ministers reviewed current regional developments and emphasized the important role of Georgia and Türkiye in ensuring peace, stability, and sustainable development.
Bochorishvili and Fidan reaffirmed their readiness to continue close cooperation both bilaterally and within multilateral platforms.
