Türkiye’s Interior Minister Arrives in Georgia for Official Visit

Türkiye’s Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi has arrived in Georgia for an official visit at the invitation of his Georgian counterpart, Sulkhani Tamazashvili.

The Turkish minister was welcomed by the Georgian interior minister at Tbilisi International Airport, according to the Georgian Interior Ministry.

During the visit, the two interior ministers are scheduled to hold expanded-format talks focused on cooperation between their countries.

A key item on the agenda is the planned signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the police academies of the Georgian and Turkish interior ministries.

The agreement is expected to strengthen cooperation in areas including police training, professional development and the exchange of experience.

Following the talks, the two ministers are expected to make a joint statement to the press.
