A portrait of US President Donald Trump was pelted with stones during a symbolic "stoning the devil" ceremony in Iran.
The ritual is traditionally part of the Hajj pilgrimage, during which pilgrims throw stones at pillars representing the devil as a symbol of rejecting evil, The Caspian Post reports via CNN.
The incident took place during a ceremony linked to the farewell for Iran's former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Participants hurled stones at Trump's portrait and chanted slogans calling for retaliation against the US president over the killing of the Iranian former supreme leader.
