Iranian authorities have arrested 18 individuals accused of working for Iran International, a satellite news channel that Tehran claims has links to Israel.
The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence said the detainees were sending photographs of sites hit by US-Israeli strikes, as well as images of emergency personnel, rescue workers, and humanitarian organizations, The Caspian Post reports via foreign media.
At least 21 individuals have been formally charged in connection with the case.
This comes amid a broader crackdown, with previous reports stating that over 500 people were detained for sharing information with Iran’s adversaries. Human rights groups have expressed concern over the arrests, which coincide with ongoing US and Israeli military strikes on Iranian targets.
