Iran has accused International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi of being the main barrier to restoring constructive cooperation.
Officials from Iran’s Foreign Ministry and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) are set to hold another round of talks on the resumption of cooperation, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.
Mohammad Eslami, head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, made the announcement, stressing that the main obstacle to constructive engagement with the IAEA remains its Director General, Rafael Grossi.
“So far, two meetings have been held between representatives of the Foreign Ministry and the agency, with a third one planned,” Eslami said. “Our primary concern with the agency is that its management system operates under the influence of a hegemonistic order, and the central problem lies with the director general himself,” he added.
