Officials from Iran and China signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Development Cooperation during the Third China-Indian Ocean Region Forum on Blue Economy Development Cooperation, held in Kunming, China, on December 15-16.
Abolfazl Kodehei, Iran’s Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance and Head of the Organization for Investment Economic and Technical Assistance, signed the MoU on behalf of Iran, The Caspian Post reports, citing the Iranian ministry.
He met with the Deputy Director of China’s International Development Cooperation Agency to discuss enhancing economic exchanges and implementing projects in Iran using resources from the South-South Fund and the China Global Development Initiative.
The forum, which attracted over 300 participants from more than 50 countries and international organizations, focused on the theme "Future of the Blue Indian Ocean - Development Practice of the Global South."
