As of Sunday, international internet monitoring service NetBlocks reported that Iran's internet has been nearly completely shut down for over 500 hours, or 22 days.
Internet connection in Iran has been almost completely disabled since Feb 28, The Caspian Post reports, citing foreign media.
On March 15, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that the internet in Iran is limited for security reasons, since the state is subjected to aggression and is obliged to protect the people.
After 528 hours, Iran is entering a 23rd day isolated from the world as the regime-imposed internet blackout continues in its fourth week, NetBlocks said in a statement on X.
The internet shutdown in Iran has been going on for the fourth week, the service added.
On Feb.28, the US and Israel began striking targets in Iran, including Tehran, causing damage and civilian casualties. Iran is carrying out retaliatory strikes on Israeli territory, as well as on US military targets in the West Asia region.
