Iran Reopens Tabriz International Airport After War Damage

Tabriz International Airport has officially reopened after suffering damage during the recent 12-day conflict in Iran, with authorities announcing that the airport resumed operations on May 27.

The airport sustained damage to its runway and control tower during the hostilities, forcing temporary suspension of flights. Following extensive restoration work, officials confirmed that the facility is now fully operational again, The Caspian Post reports via DW.

The airport is considered one of the most important aviation hubs in northwestern Iran and ranks among the country’s busiest airports.

Before the conflict, Tabriz International Airport operated multiple domestic and international routes, including flights to Istanbul, Najaf, Baku and Dubai.
