Iran’s new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has ordered that officials directly appointed by his slain father will remain in their positions for the time being without needing renewed appointments.
In a written decree released on Monday, Mojtaba Khamenei addressed inquiries from managers and officials whose posts were granted by the late supreme leader, The Caspian Post reports, citing Iran International.
“Following inquiries from some managers and officials of bodies who were directly appointed by the martyred leader, I hereby announce that none of them need a renewal of their appointment for now,” the decree said.
He instructed the officials to continue carrying out their responsibilities in accordance with the policies and guidance they had received during the lifetime of Ali Khamenei.
