Iran’s two largest steel producers have been forced to suspend operations following multiple waves of US and Israeli strikes, according to company statements.
Mehran Pakbin, deputy head of operations at Khuzestan Steel Company, said initial estimates suggest it could take at least six months to a year to restore operations, The Caspian Post reports, citing foreign media.
Mobarakeh Steel Company, located in central Isfahan province, also confirmed that its production lines have completely shut down due to the intensity of the attacks.
