Emirati authorities confirmed intercepting an Iranian drone, but debris sparked a fire at an oil industry zone in Fujairah on Tuesday.

The UAE authorities added that the fire was contained after a drone debris interception, adding that the incident didn't cause any injuries, The Caspian Post reports, citing foreign media.

"Relevant authorities in the Emirate of Fujairah responded to a fire that broke out this morning in the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ), resulting from falling debris following the successful interception of a drone by air defence systems," the Fujairah Media Office revealed in a statement on Tuesday.

The statement also read, "No injuries were reported, the fire was brought under control, and normal operations in the area have resumed."
