Iran's IRGC-affiliated Fars News Agency has called for strikes on the Israeli port of Haifa and the UAE's Jebel Ali port in response to a U.S. attack on a railway bridge in northern Iran, The Caspian Post reports, citing Iran International.
Fars described the strike on the Aq Tekeh Khan railway bridge near Aqqala in Golestan Province as part of a "war of corridors," referring to competition over strategic transport and trade routes.
"We must target Haifa and Jebel Ali," the agency wrote.
In a separate editorial, the hardline Iranian newspaper Kayhan called for missile strikes on the King Fahd Causeway, which connects Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, as well as on oil refineries across the region.
"When the Aqqala bridge is targeted, the King Fahd Causeway should be targeted without prior warning," Kayhan wrote. "If our refineries are attacked, their refineries should be attacked."
The newspaper argued that countries hosting U.S. military forces should not be regarded as independent actors if attacks on Iran are launched from their territory, adding that striking such countries would amount to striking the United States and Israel.
