Two members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were killed on Sunday night after leftover munitions exploded while they were stationed on defensive positions in the holy city of Qom in central Iran, according to a statement from the force’s Qom branch released on Monday, The Caspian Post reports, citing Iran International.
The IRGC said the explosion was caused by remaining projectiles from the recent war that detonated unexpectedly while the personnel were on duty.
