Negotiations between the US and Iran have broken down after the Iranian delegation abruptly left the talks venue in Switzerland.
Tehran’s representatives withdrew from the negotiations in protest over remarks made by US President Donald Trump, which Iranian officials viewed as threatening, The Caspian Post reports via Tasnim news agency.
The development marks a major setback for diplomatic efforts aimed at easing tensions between Washington and Tehran, raising fresh concerns about the future of bilateral relations.
Meanwhile, Al Hadath reported that Iran is demanding the US comply with the first provision of a previously signed memorandum of understanding. The clause reportedly states that both sides must refrain from issuing threats against one another.
