Uzbekistan, Iran Strengthen Dialogue on Afghanistan and Regional Security

Ismatulla Irgashev, Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, has met with Iran’s Assistant Foreign Minister and Director General for South Asian Affairs, Mohammad Reza Bahrami, to discuss bilateral cooperation on Afghanistan and broader regional security and stability.

Both parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in maintaining a regular and constructive dialogue between Uzbekistan and Iran, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

They also agreed to continue consultations on a permanent basis, both bilaterally and within multilateral frameworks, to coordinate efforts on shared regional concerns.
