The Israeli military on Thursday released footage showing drone strikes targeting Basij checkpoints and paramilitary forces in Tehran over the past 24 hours.
According to a statement from the Israeli military, Basij forces had recently set up checkpoints at several locations across the Iranian capital, The Caspian Post reports.
After identifying these deployments, the Israeli Air Force, acting on intelligence from the Military Intelligence Directorate, carried out strikes against the checkpoints and the Basij personnel stationed there.

The Israeli military said the attacks resulted in the deaths of Basij members at the targeted locations.
The statement described the Basij forces as part of Iran’s security apparatus, alleging that they have been involved in planning and carrying out militant operations in recent years. It added that the strikes formed part of a broader phase of operations aimed at targeting key elements and infrastructure linked to the Iranian government.
