Austria Appoints New Ambassador to Kazakhstan

Austria has appointed a new ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan, according to an announcement from the Austrian Embassy’s official Instagram account, The Caspian Post reports citing Kazinform.

The Embassy of Austria is happy to introduce Austria’s Ambassador-designate to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Her Excellency Andrea Bacher, with subsequent presentation of credentials, ” the publication reads.

Andrea Bacher is also co-accredited in the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan.

Previously, Andrea Bacher held the post of the Foreign and security policy advisor to the Federal Minister for European and International Affairs (BMEIA).

Earlier, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree to appoint Askar Zhenis as an Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Egypt.
