Axe Attack at Kazakh School Injures Two Pupils

A violent incident at a school in Kulsary, Kazakhstan has left two pupils injured after a 10th-grade pupil attacked classmates with an axe.

The incident occurred on February 5 following a conflict between classmates. Two pupils sustained minor injuries and received medical assistance, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The 15-year-old suspect was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. He has also been registered with internal affairs bodies. A criminal case has been opened, while the teenager’s parents have been held administratively liable.

Case materials have been forwarded to the education department and the juvenile affairs commission for further procedural decisions, police said.
