Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan Launch Strategic “Tarlan-2025” UAV Exercises

The “Tarlan-2025” joint flight-tactical exercise, aimed at enhancing cooperation in the field of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) operations, has officially commenced in Azerbaijan.

The exercise brings together servicemen from both the Azerbaijani and Kazakh armed forces, The Caspian Post reports via the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.

The opening ceremony began with a moment of silence in honor of the fallen heroes who gave their lives for their homelands. This solemn tribute was followed by the national anthems of both nations, symbolizing unity and shared commitment to regional security.

Addressing the participants, senior military officials from both sides extended their best wishes for a successful mission. They emphasized the strategic significance of the joint drills, noting that “Tarlan-2025” plays a vital role in deepening defense cooperation and operational interoperability between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.

Immediately following the formal proceedings, personnel began executing the planned tactical operations in phases, based on the exercise’s pre-established scenario.

The training is scheduled to continue until July 10, reinforcing the two countries’ shared goals of enhancing regional defense readiness and advancing modern military capabilities, particularly in the field of UAV deployment and tactical coordination.
